DR1008 1-2 April 2008 - Singapore. Early bird date 7 March 2008.
DR4008 4-5 August 2008 - Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel Hotel - www.sofitel.com, Bangkok, Thailand. Early bird date 5 July 2008.
This will be a relatively light touch as it is not intended for drilling staff but for other disciplines who interacts and work with drilling professionals. Depending on the participants more depth could be covered on some subjects. Course methods will include a combination of formal sessions, interspersed with both individual and group exercises. Videos are used to illustrate some technical topics as well as some of the main drilling equipment.
Workshop B - Basic Petroleum Economics for Technical Professionals. Download Brochure.
DR1408 3-4 April 2008 - Singapore. Early bird date 7 March 2008.
DR4208 6-7 August 2008 - Grand Sukhumvit by Sofitel Hotel - www.sofitel.com, Bangkok, Thailand. Early bird date 5 July 2008.
Could you answer the following three questions for your next project?
What will it cost? What is it worth? Will it earn sufficient profit?
Before undertaking any project, these questions should be answered. The material covered in this 3-day course will provide the fundamentals necessary to enable you to do so. Contractual arrangements, which also significantly impact the economic viability of a project, are also covered. Participants practice cash flow techniques for economic evaluations and investigate frequently encountered situations.
Workshop C - Basic Drilling Operations, Work Over and Well Completions. Download Brochure.
DR1608 7-11 April 2008 - Singapore. Early bird date 7 March 2008.
DR4608 11-15 August 2008 - Hyatt Hotel - www.hyatt.com, Bali, Indonesia. Early bird date 5 July 2008.
This course is specifically designed to give a technical overview of the science and art of drilling operations, completion practices and post-completion wellbore enhancement or remedial workover techniques (well intervention). Its purpose is to develop an understanding of the WHAT, WHY, and HOW of each of these areas of engineering practice. The participants learn to visualize what is happening “downhole”, discover what can be accomplished and gain an appreciation for wellbore risks and the possibility of damage to the formation. How drilling and completion practices can alter reservoir interpretation and performance will be discussed. The participant will become conversant with specific technical terminology and aware of practical applications, which should enhance communication and interaction between disciplines.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN :
• Gain updates on new technology and improvements in multi-lateral wells, smart completions, expandable tubulars, drilling the limit
• Learn special techniques of drilling the well through deviated and horizontal drilling
• Ascertain project performance indicators (NPV, IRR, payback, UTC etc) and why they are used
• Understand incremental project economics (often short term projects), exercise to compare various workover options
• Ability to design and analyse a well workover and to replace gaslift with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESPs)
• Benefit from exercises on well monitoring/decisions based on mudlogs and/or Measurements While Drilling (MWD) logs
WHY THIS TRAINING IS UNIQUE:
• The program covers topics for both technical and non technical drilling professionals
• Address the core competency skills needed to be a competent drilling professionals
• It provides a roadmap for new drilling professionals
• Up to 10 latest and updated case studies and practical exercises
• An experienced facilitator who have worked, trained and consulted the oil and gas industry for more than 34 years
• No risk quality guarantee
• Class size limited to 25 only to ensure interactivity
